TCM System Administration Course Description

Some dates of the TCM System Administration course are designed specifically for users running version 8.0 of TCM. These dates are noted.

The how-to’s of TCM running in a Microsoft Windows Environment

This course will help you understand the workings of Microsoft Windows and TCM operating system related functions. You should consider attending this class if you want to:

  • Understand the structure of the TCM installation, folders, usage, data areas
  • Install / debug TCM client installations
  • Customize menus for individuals and/or groups
  • Develop a disaster plan for TCM servers and recover from minor annoyances to catastrophic failures
  • Better understand common Windows/Networking terms and definitions required by TCM
  • Install ODBC and use basic debugging techniques
  • Understand the differences between remote access methods and which are better for your facility
  • Set up printers in a TCM environment
  • Use various products, utilities and file transfer methods
  • Review TCM data file operations like copying/deleting company data
  • Learn about general MS Windows issues

TCM Data Mining Workshop Course Description

This class is designed for those who need to understand the process of extracting data from TCM and presenting this data in a report

This class is designed to be a one day session with approximately 1½ hours of lecture/demos and the remainder devoted to a hands-on workshop creating reports that will be assigned by the instructor.
