PSI Planner™
PSI Planner™ software system offers a complete Forecasting module which is fully integrated with its’ Distribution/Materials Requirements Planning and Master Production Scheduling modules.
Our Forecasting module is a collaborative tool which mixes “art and science” to allow you to come up with the most accurate forecasts possible. It fully supports a Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process to efficiently balance your organization’s Supply and Demand.
The system generates a statistical forecast for each item-location combination that has been set up by the user (PSI Planner™ uses regression analysis with a seasonality factor as well as other optional time series forecasting methods to generate this forecast). The user can then make adjustments to the system generated item-location (i.e. “SKU”) forecasts and aggregate them nationally, regionally or by other criteria such as product, class or market zone. At this point, further adjustments can be made to the aggregates and be prorated back down to the item-location level to drive production and deployment decisions.
A Forecast Variance Reporting System then “automates” the sometimes tedious but critical activity of measuring planned versus actual forecasts which can be used to improve future forecast accuracy.
PSI Planner ™ also gives users the option to calculate item-location safety stock quantities based upon desired customer service levels, and performs ABC analysis nationally or by location.
DRP Module
Our DRP module is fully integrated into its PSI Planner software system. It helps your company transition from a “Push” to a “Demand Pull” process, resulting in an efficient, Lean Supply Chain.
PSI Planner’s™ DRP module develops replenishment plans by evaluating information such as order size, desired safety times/service levels, on-hand inventory, scheduled receipts and both forecasted and actual demands. PSI Planner™ compares future demand versus available inventory (plus scheduled receipts) to predict future shortages. It then schedules planned replenishment orders (factoring in lead times) based upon user set criteria.
PSI Planner™ is especially useful in a multi-level network, since it will net requirements “upwards” to each distribution center’s source of supply as set by the user. In addition to deployment requirements, a Master Production Schedule (MPS) will be generated at the plant level.
Since PSI Planner™ has Bill of Materials capabilities, it can also function as an MRP system, exploding finished goods requirements from the MPS into raw material and component needs.
The DRP/MRP module is fully integrated with a Forecasting module which will generate item-location statistical forecasts (if the user hasn’t imported forecasts generated from another system). It is also fully integrated with an MPS module to create a complete supply chain planning tool!
MPS Module
Our MPS Module is fully integrated into the PSI Planner ™ software System. The end result of the Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) module is to provide the user with unconstrained production requirements for each manufacturing site (or work center) after the netting and aggregation process is completed.
Our MPS module does that…and more! It not only allows the user to aggregate net requirements to the manufacturing site, but allows you to set up multiple work centers within a plant.
A rather unique feature of PSI Planner™ is the ability for the user to define plant or market zones for each item-location. The system then summarizes not only planned orders for an item-zone, but also: current inventory, forecasts, customer orders, and scheduled receipts. This information is presented in currently selected time buckets in a traditional “PSI” format (i.e. Inventory less Sales plus Production spread over planning time periods).
The MPS module is fully integrated with both our Forecasting and DRP modules…all at one low price.
