Course Description
This class is designed for those who need to understand the process of extracting data from TCM and presenting this data in a report
This class is designed to be a one day session with approximately 1½ hours of lecture/demos and the remainder devoted to a hands-on workshop creating reports that will be assigned by the instructor.
You should consider attending this class if you need:
- to create a Crystal Report of TCM data
- to create a query in Excel
- to gain a better understanding of the TCM Database Infrastructure
- to view and print File/Structure record layouts
- to learn how to establish file/table joins and table relationships
- to become familiar with how ODBC works
- to learn to use the Field Locator tool
With improvements in the Synergy ODBC and the latest Synergy Version 7.5.1f the ability to extract and manipulate TCM data has been significantly enhanced. With this new capability has come the dilemma of how to use this new capability in report writer tools such as Crystal Reports, Microsoft Access and Excel.
