For MES to be truly effective, it must use accurate enterprise–wide information in real time. Factory Data Collection captures and validates data about events on the plant floor, stock rooms and even engineering, providing accurate, real-time updates to Shop Floor Control.

Factory Data Collection provides a variety of data collection methods including point–and–click entry on Factory Workstations™, intranet based eProduction, Data Collection Workstation, direct machine connection and automatic data collection devices such as bar code scanners and handheld PDA’s. These devices may be fixed–mount or portable, hardwired or radio frequency–based. This real–time data acquisition, coupled with tight integration to the rest of MES, facilitates real–time dispatching, dynamic rescheduling, proactive notification and timely decision–making.

Employee Time and Attendance

Data Collection provides you with complete employee time and attendance data, including schedule information.

Time & attendance transactions can be entered using bar code Data Collection devices, TCM touch screen entry, or TCM eProduction. All transactions are available to authorized users for review and adjustment.
