EDI (Electronic Data Interchange)
When your customers require paperless transactions
TCM recognizes the challenges you face when your customers require you to eliminate the reams of paper separating just–in–time from not–quite-fast–enough. The answer is a flexible Electronic Data Interchange interface or EDI. EDI facilitates the order entry, invoicing, and Advanced Shipping Notice processes by removing the need for paper forms and filings. It also provides data transmission to exchange this information instantly rather than via mail.
TCM’s EDI module has proven itself through satisfied customers in the automotive, heavy equipment manufacturing, and retail markets where EDI is a necessity. The TCM implementation process further ensures that your data travels securely between your operation and your EDI linked customers and suppliers.
This vital link is integrated through TCM’s robust EDI Interface module that is pre–integrated with third–party EDI software vendors like Innovis and Radley CARaS (for automotive suppliers). EDI allows you to receive purchase orders and work releases from your customers and to send invoices and ASN’s back to them. TCM’s EDI Interface closes the loop electronically.
EDI Functions
As you can see, TCM’s EDI provides full functioned EDI support for both Retail Partners and large manufacturers, including automotive. Here is both the Retail interface to Supply Tech and the Automotive interface to Radley CARas.
In addition, Purchase Orders, Invoices, ASN’s, and Releases are supported using either standard or user-defined trading partner templates.

Trading Partner Maintenance
EDI uses a Trading Partner Master record and allows Multiple Ship To records with PO, Invoice, and Release segment data included.
