In today’s fiercely competitive markets, cost control is an absolute requirement for any manufacturing enterprise that hopes to remain viable and grow its business. Job Cost is thorough both in design and in ease of use.

The module provides information on the components of actual costs, and variances to standard cost, for all your direct and indirect activity. Labor, material, outside processes and burden are accurately tracked and you can issue, track and otherwise control purchase orders specific to a job. This information may then be passed to the general ledger for full financial integration.

Job Cost is integrated through Shop Floor Control to MES, utilizing Factory Data Collection to acquire information that affects cost. This information comes not only from operations within your facilities, but also from processes at outside vendors. You can track costs before the work is completed and take action before all of the dollars have been spent.

TCM’s Job Cost application provides a wide variety of functions. These functions are available with a single click from the TCM Navigaotr, shown here.

Job Cost functions include job maintenance and inquiry as well as comprehensive reports. You’ll easily be able to enter labor and materials informaiton outside processing costs and completions.

You can see the complete material and labor breakdown of each Shop Order. You’ll also see that this is updated with planned versus actual hours and dollars.

You can also display details for any item. Here’s the summary data for Item HM-300. It’s easy to compare the planned versus actual costs here.
