The Standard Cost Buildup function takes the wealth of information contained within the other PDM functions, and calculates current and standard costs by item number.

Bills of Material, Operational Routings, and Item information are all utilized by this function. A complete set of tables supporting material, labor and overhead rate structures allows the tailoring of costs development by product and process. An extensive set of reports provides summarized and multilevel displays of the cost structures, as well as comparative analysis showing the effect of changes. Configure-to-Order products can also be costed and analyzed. Costs are presented on a value-added and accumulated basis for your analysis. And, to monitor trends, both standard and current costs are maintained so cost changes can be tracked. This vital information is then used by other TCM suites to help you monitor and manage costs.
